Printed foil trays coming soon!

A new multi million-dollar printer just commissioned by Confoil will see printed foil containers at greatly reduced prices available by the end of the year.

The new roto gravure printing press is capable of printing on aluminium foil, board and paper. Confoil operations manager Andrew Henderson said the new printing press added a whole new dimension to aluminium foil packaging.

"You'll soon be able to have crisp, clear printing on foil that opens up the door for packaging designers to make a lot better use of the space," he said. "Serving instructions, marketing messages, logos and so on will no longer be limited to cardboard outers – they can go directly onto the foil. Best of all, we'll be able to make it viable for long and short runs alike."

The printer is currently undergoing fine tuning and will be bedded in over the next six months, to be made available to Confoil customers at the end of the year.
