Films

Confoil’s sealing films are easy to use, both for the food producer and the diner.

Confoil offer a standard range of high performance heat seal lidding film which combine excellent barrier properties with easy peel function. Originating from the Dupont Mylar OL product range, Confoil’s continuous heat seal films are biaxial orientated polyester with an amorphous polyester heat seal layer. The films boast high clarity, are designed to be self venting and are dual ovenable (suitable for both conventional and microwave applications).

The range of heat seal films offer peelable seals to a wide range of polar materials including itself, APET, CPET, PETG, polyester coated board and PVC.
Films can be sealed at a wide range of temperatures and seal instantly but reach full seal strength approximately one hour after sealing. All film specifications offer freezer to oven convenience.

Confoil cater for all sizes of business with offers of small volume purchases and small roll lengths. Customers requesting variations in film widths or lengths to the standard film range can be accommodated. Quotations will be provided by contacting the Confoil sales department.

Features and Points of Note for Standard Film Range:
  •  Film specifications are available in two thicknesses i.e. 13um & 25um.
  •  All raw material used is sourced from the DuPont Mylar OL product range.
  •  25um film is both anti-fog & corona treated for printing
  •  All film is wound onto a cardboard core with an internal dimension of 75mm.
  •  The sealable surface is always wound to the inside of the roll.
  •  Films are designed to be self venting and dual ovenable.
  •  Films can be sealed at a wide range of temperatures; 140°C to 200°C
  •  Freezer to Oven convenience withstanding temperatures of -40°C to 220°C
