Created with care
Sustainability - It begins when we consider the entire lifecycle of the products we use
To us, sustainability is much more than just a catch-phrase or a label, it's about igniting systemic change from the ground up. The environmental impact of a product can only truly be understood when we take stock of its entire lifecycle, from production to where it ends up after we use it - and everything in between.
Our Products
What Happens After A Product Is Used?
This question is top of mind for us when it comes to every product in our range. Confoil actively works to promote recycling both internally and amongst our suppliers. We do this by sourcing and promoting product ranges and materials which minimise the environmental impact on production and distribution. Confoil are also proud signatories to the Australian Packaging Covenant and are committed to their evolving framework that aims for all packaging to be either recyclable, renewable, biodegradable or compostable by 2025.

A carefully considered range
Recyclable
Our core range of products includes both wrinklewall and smoothwall foil trays which are 100% aluminium and are fully recyclable and renewable. Aluminium’s unique properties make it a perfect material for a great number of packaging requirements, while its ready recyclability makes it an excellent choice for the environment, diverting this packaging product from landfill or polluting our oceans. Because aluminium is pure in composition, it is extremely easy to recycle through kerbside recycling. -

Endlessly Renewable
By choosing materials that are already highly valuable in our existing recycling stream. Aluminium foil doesn’t lose any of its properties in the recycling process and can be recycled over and over again. In fact, some 75% of all aluminium ever produced is still in use - in some form or another. What’s more, recycling aluminium also saves energy when compared to what’s required for its primary production.

In Creating With Care
Confoil's range of products is created with sustainability at the forefront - by sourcing and promoting product ranges and materials which minimise the environmental impact on production and distribution. We are also proud signatories to the Australian Packaging Covenant and are committed to the evolving framework provided by the covenant that aims for all packaging to be either recyclable, renewable and biodegradable or compostable by 2025. -
We believe
In a Sustainable Future
Our commitment to creating with care is not just limited to our product range. In 2019 we installed over 2000 solar panels on the rooftops of our primary Bayswater manufacturing facility, meaning that much of our production is now powered by renewable energy from the sun. This move has actively reduced our CO2 emissions by over 525 tonne to date - that's the same as taking 114 cars off the road each year.
"Through the products we bring to market, working with our suppliers and customers to optimise sustainability outcomes, the encouragement of our employees to support recycling and reuse initiatives and our operational practices, we are striving to minimise our environmental footprint and enhance our community."

A reforestation partner
One Tree Planted
We are proud to be a reforestation partner for One Tree Planted, a not-for-profit organisation focused on global reforestation - planting trees all over the world. To date, 15 million trees have been planted worldwide by the organisation. Trees help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide habitat to over 80% of the world's terrestrial biodiversity. They also provide jobs to over 1.6 billion people, absorb harmful carbon from the atmosphere, and are key ingredients in 25% of all medicines.
